Eager to see these numbies, won't know til end of July tho.
Curious about DCM numbers since I will be a ft analyst in that part of my bank
Mizuho An1
mid bucket
base 100
Annualized bonus 73 (55 for 9 month stub)
Heard someone got 93 (70 for 9 month stub)
How much was 55k after taxes?
Wow that stings. Does Mizuho under-pay or is this irregular from them?

I feel like 55k is not bad considering the decrease in dealflow. Also didn't mizuho used to pay 40k flat for all analysts?
Was this 55k for IB?
Yes
Its 55k for 9 months.
Congrats on wrapping up your first few months in IB . I was wondering how many hours a week were you working your first year/ how much you expect to work as a second year? Really interested to hear about the lifestyle at the firm
60-70 hrs a week. Prob closer to 60 as a second year. Mizuho is pretty chill
Any speculation on how bonuses will turn out with how the first half of this year has seen a downturn? Anyone know what a standard BB bonus range is for mid-bucket?
I could be wrong, but Imagine that they will fall in line with past years. Not quite as lucrative as 2021 - but who know. - I imagine a bunch of people would leave if they got stuffed on bonuses
Bonuses won't be til august for my firm
How are people finding out about 2022 bonuses already?
Understandable question. Title of post is confusing. It's really 2021 bonuses being paid out summer 2022 for junior bankers that started on cycle in the summer prior.
I heard some banks decide bonus pool end of 2021 or at least well in advance of individual bonuses being decided. If that's the case they would have gone off numbers from a solid year which should mean bonuses should be ok no? Not sure if this is true just something I heard
I know performance reviews are happening street-wide right now but at my bank, and at other banks based on what my friends are saying, they're deferring our bonus number until July so I'm taking that to mean it'll be based off 2022 also for some banks.
Why do you guys make these threads?
Why is your username "pussy galore"
Bond movie reference
Why these threads are made is for
1) prospects eye balling which banks pay good bonuses- despite record breaking years not all firms paid out
2) for laterals
Why should we not try and have transparent discussions about Comp in the industry?
Why do you say analysts should be okay?
Because banks know they can't screw over analyst to much - hence all the comp increases to retain talent.
Hope you're right man. We need that bonus to come in BIG. I've lost half my wealth in the NFT crash and it's time to double down.
Not sure if you're being sarcastic (many on this site are taking these times to poke jabs and punch down on people) but in a bit of a similar situation. Let's hope for something close to what was reported last year.
Ah, youth.
The idea that purchasing the rights to some shitty digital cartoons as a wealth creation tool is beyond me.
I've been looking to lateral to BB / EB and haven't seen many openings in the last 6 months. I believe this summer is the best opportunity for people trying to make the move - could yall please post when your banks are paying out bonuses to analysts? Would be greatly appreciated!
July-Aug
Wow a thread with 35 replies and only one irrelevant data point - classic
The majority of analysts aren't paid until late July or early August so there's simply no data to provide. OP made this thread prematurely.
Still too early eh?
Don't worry the site will be inundated with these in due time...
Loud and clear.

Not happy with comp. Especially peers at WF and similar tier banks have higher base.

You just made $220k as an analyst at Truist. Chill.
Which year are you?

An1 Base: 100
Bonus: 80
Rank: 4/5
What are your hours like?
Not terrible but not great. I know Truist when it was STRH was known to be pretty laid back but now we have our fair share of late nights (tho dependent on staffings / team placement) I'd say 65-70hrs on average. Busy weeks tick up to 80-85 (35% of weeks). In the first year have had probably 3 weeks hit up in the 90-100 range (2 were live deals and one was for a pitch ). Overall not terrible especially if you're in one of the LCOL cities as the money goes farther. Overall culture is good which helps make the super busy weeks more tolerable. WFH flexibility helps a lot too.
What were your hours like?
Truist comps well wow
What is this link supposed to be? Says page unavailable

$70k Bonus
New base: $105k
Old base: $100k + $12k signing
Gave everything I had to this job and got the equivalent of a participation trophy rating.
Am I insane or are this and previous numbers in thread great for truist? Especially because of LCOL.
I think it's okay for a MM , but given that their bases are $10k lower than street avg ($110k) the bonus is really more like $60k. Which is decent historically for MM but perhaps a bit low if the bonus pools were locked in at Xmas, when markets were at an ATH.
This also brings up the question of which banks will lower bonuses as the base salaries have risen over the past 2 years. I had friends in Tier 2 cities getting paid $60k A1 bonuses during 2019/2020 but with $85k bases, so [email protected] $100k = [email protected] $85k.
So TC has moved up slightly, it just doesn't feel like it because COL/rent has also risen.
Lol u pulled in 175k at Truist why are u upset
Yeah as a 1st year too (based of title)
Any new numbers?
Heard Barclays , Nomura , BMO , UBS are all out now. Would love to hear some more data points
yea let's see barclays
I'm at BMO and I heard ours isn't out until 07/22
Paid or announced?
Any news on base raises for BMO?
AFAIK Barcap hasn't released yet. Probably group dependent but I think it's a little early.
Know from friends that last year they were announced on the Friday after Fourth of July (so that would be tomorrow).
MM bonuses seem crazy good thus far, what are the BBs expecting?
So far we've only seen numbers for Mizuho, Harris Williams, and Truist. Any other banks expecting numbers soon?
Where did you hear Nomura is out?
Nomura is not yet out.
Isn't Wells Fargo out too ?
Very surprised to see all-in comp this high given performance across ECM / DCM YTD . Was expecting a bonus pullback of 20-30% from last year but it seems to be on par based on the submissions thus far.
At least for my bank, I've heard that bonus pools were locked in during December when all the senior comp was decided.
Which is big if true - obviously if comp was decided this year I think it would be a lot lot lower. Really hoping what I heard is true lol.
Anyone have any intel on CS bonuses?
curious
CS doesnt communicate comp until last week of July
Bump
Any RX datapoints for 2021?

35k bonus. Boys are not happy
Damn $35k?? For 1 year? What city and group, that's brutal. And are you at a known MM shop or a no-name "MM" bank…
Yes for the whole year. It's a known MM think Stephens / Stifel in a tier 2 city. Same buckets for all groups
Can you pm shop?
MM healthcare at a BB
Base $110k
Bonus $115
Bucket top
As an An1 or An2?
Not OP but would assume A1 given 110 base. Don't think any BB has 110 for an A2 base salary
Seeing how it's 110 base. It's A1
Middle market healthcare at a BB ?
Yeah there are some teams that serve smaller companies. A lot of the BB 's started or built out these division over the last few years.
MM or BB ?
Bump
I am guessing we will hear more next week.
Last summer we didn't get numbers till mid August
MM bank in NYC
Same here, but our bank has said that bonus will be paid out in the last week of july.
Must be nice. We haven't been told anything
Bank: SocGen
Product Group
Ranking: Mid
Bonus: 34k
Base: 100k (grid still 100/105/110 fml)
Heard our An1 grid topped off at 46-50ish
How you feeling about that?
Like I should start looking at other banks lmao
This is outrageous. It's unfair!
Imagine being a top bucket and giving a lot and your comp tops off at 150K - I think it is fair to say that is a shitty deal.
Bofa anything?
Have they heard?
BofA will know the last week of july.
are you from bofa and do you know this for a fact?
Im at bofa and during my review (in june) my MD said bonuses would be announced end of the month (june) but we still havent heard anything yet
BofA deez nuts
Anyone know when Citi and moelis announces/pays analyst bonuses?
Announcement is mid August for Moelis I believe
I was told "later this month" on July 5th, so hoping we hear soon :)
Anyone know when Lazard announces?
Bank: Barclays
Group: Coverage
Position: An2
Ranking: Mid
Bonus: ~$75k
Base Salary: $125k
Range was around ~$55k-$95k across buckets for An2, median of ~$79k.
1st year median was $42k.
Rounded numbers for anonymity. The boys are not happy.
Big help! - Will say 200K is not terrible comp - but probably not what people were expecting
$200k for A2 is below A1 comp at a decent chunk of banks. It's not bad but it's bad when compared to the same comp elsewhere.
It's not even $200k -- Barclays bumped up base like 4 months ago so really you're seeing AN2s getting like 170k-190k.
Didn't realize An2 Barclays base was 125. What's An1 base?
110
This is the kind of content/formatting we need on WSO
Its almost like this guy works in banking
This is a solid outcome given market conditions. Do not look at 2020/2021 bonuses as the norm.
2019 and prior for AN2 was around 150-225.
Thanks, VP in Barclays HR.
2019 was a different time
According to an inflation calculator, if we returned to the norm of 2019 levels a 200k all in comp should be 235k today. if compensation was stagnant, we should still be at a 17% premium over 2019 levels just for inflation. Add the risk free rate on top of that like a real finance pro and we're sitting more in the 20-25% premium for the same value of wages…
are bonuses generally the same across coverage groups at the firm? I'd imagine Barclays tech would be on the higher end given recent performance.
200k at age 23/24 and people are not happy. What was the expected amount?
2-3 years ago, getting 180k was already considered really good for analyst 2
2-3 years ago, the cost of living was also significantly lower
