Am I doing a bad job or is this normal
For context: I'm a first year S&T analyst at a bulge bracket. I have been at my company only a few months and have only just started to feel that I am getting to grips with the work.
Sometimes I find that I make mistakes/ask stupid questions/ don't always know how to do things in the best way/ or miss things that I could have spotted. I find attitudes from others can sometimes be a bit cold/ distanced. Sometimes I have this anxiety that I am going to be fired but I don't know if this is all in my head. I really want to do the best at my job but can sometimes end up feeling like I am a bit incapable.
Is this something to worry about or is this a fairly normal experience for a first year analyst?

Nah give yourself a break. Certainly always try to improve but it's normal to fumble some things before they finally click. S&T is a hectic environment which can easily lead to mistakes

takes 7 months to get some what comfortable at a new job - with the first 2 years feeling like you could get fired any second. its anxiety. dont dwell on mistakes, just don't repeat them
