Interview at Harbor Group International - Asset Management team
I have an interview at Harbor Group International and it would be great if anyone can provide insight on the interview process for asset management roles. How many rounds, was it highly technical or was it more fit based and was there a modeling test. Any insight on the process would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I mean, let's be serious - if you have aspirations of making partner someday and aren't jewish...would you join meridian capital group, where 99/100 MDs are? Go on their website.
Same goes for if you're joining a mainland chinese developer where 100% of senior management are chinese and you're not...it's a consideration for sure.

They are still looking for an AVP and VP role. They are being VERY selective about their VP role. Heavy on restructuring/workout is a must for VP level. Comp for VP is 200k base and guaranteed 50k bonus. They are even looking at people with 20+ year experience for the go role if they have workout knowledge.
Who the hell is going to take a VP role at $250k all-in (guess there's upside to this number?) for 20+ years of experience with restructuring/workout experience?
Guess the job market really does suck right now.

No, that was told to me as a sidebar. They are looking for someone with 6 year YOE. The people with workout experience want more than 250k. So they are entertaining someone with more experience if necessary.
