Job Reneg

Long story short. Like some people on here I was laid off due to market conditions. I was given a heads up by some hire-ups in the company so I was able to get a lifeboat. I landed at a job since January. When I was interviewing with my current company I was also interviewing with 2 other companies. One is with a bank and is a pivot to corporate finance that pays 40% above my previous base and 20% above my current base. The vacation time is ridiculous(5 weeks plus sick days and personal days). So I excepted without letting them know I was with my current firm(which I will quit when my background check clears).  It is a step down in title, but the comp is better. Here is the kicker, the job I wanted the most, higher title and 50-60% more base pay with a better name, and is with a bulge bracket commercial balance sheet lender.  I am in the final round and would feel terrible reneging twice.

I have too much experience and just want to get paid for a good work/life balance

Do what's best for you as long as you can keep it concealed and not damage your reputation in the broader real estate circle. Aka, renege twice. Lenders / LP's are always retrading. Why can't we ?
