Moving from front office to back office
I'm graduating in May from a non-target and have had trouble finding a decent back office role (analyst position to be specific) in my area or even in the US.At the current moment I'm moving onto the final stage of interviews with S&P Global for a client facing role. If hired, my responsibility would be that of a consultant and help desk associate for the Capital IQ and Capital IQ Pro platforms.Am I going to have a hard time breaking into IB or a financial analyst related role in a year or two? Would I be better suited to find an analyst position at a small shop/company or work at S&P Global in this position? Next fall I will be pursuing my MS in Finance from a top 50 b-school.
