Options after a stint at a CVC
Hello All,
I am currently an Analyst at a Corp Venture Capital in a Bank, I went to a Non-target, I was previously a Long-term Intern at a European Venture fund (12 months), a Strategy Internship at a Pre-seed Start-up and did a Summer analyst gig at a Growth Equity fund . I was thinking about my options after my time at the CVC , given I didn't go to a great school moving to a tier 1 fund might not be as smooth a transition, as people with other backgrounds.
What advice would you give to someone with my background?

I didn't grow up well off so while I want to do an MBA , 2 years of not working might not be a sustainable option.

Not to be big-headed but I think I have done pretty well for myself, all things considered, I do have regular catch-ups with other funds so maybe this is the route.
Any advice would be useful

I think you should approach it from the other way around. Start with figuring out what you want to do and then start thinking about how to get there. Do you want to stay in VC? If so, do you want to remain in CVC or go to a pure financial VC? Do you want to go into operations at a start-up? Do you want to move into growth equity / PE?
I did an internship in CVC at a large European automotive manufacturer. I heard of several colleagues who exited into financial venture capital funds.
